Dental Implants

A missing tooth affects your life in a variety of ways. You may feel self-conscious or embarrassed about smiling or talking to others because of your missing tooth. Your nutrition may suffer because you can’t properly chew the healthy foods you would normally enjoy. Your teeth may shift causing issues with the surrounding teeth.

There are excellent solutions for replacing your missing tooth, and Performance Dental Center can help!

Missing Teeth and Oral Health

Missing one or more of your teeth affects your oral health more than you may realize. Without a root to support, your bone will begin to dissolve or resorb. This eliminates the support system for your remaining teeth and will eventually lead to more tooth loss. This process can even change the appearance of your face.

With the loss of a tooth, your remaining teeth will begin to shift. When your healthy teeth move into the open space, it causes bite misalignment and puts your teeth at risk for fractures, gum disease, and other damage. If your tooth is failing or missing, it’s a good idea to consider replacing it as soon as possible in order to protect the integrity of your oral health.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are by far the best tooth replacement option that dentistry has to offer. This is because they restore both your root and your tooth.

A titanium post is placed where the root of the tooth used to be and is allowed time to heal and integrate. The post is biocompatible and creates a stable foundation for your new tooth, which is a customized, high quality porcelain crown.

Dr. Sigman will recommend a specialist he knows and trusts for you to see to have your implant placed. Once finished with the implant specialist, we will complete your implant crown here at Performance Dental Center.

What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

Dental implants offer numerous benefits to our patients.

They are an exceptionally reliable treatment, boasting a 95% success rate. They can also be used to support dental prosthetics such as a bridge or denture, offering a better fit for denture wearers than ever before with no movement or slippage when they talk or eat. Because an implant closely mimics your natural tooth, it’s easy to care for and offers the same function you once had with your natural tooth. This means you’ll be able to brush, floss, eat, smile, talk, and chew with ease once again.

Implants are a great long-term investment in your oral health. With excellent home care and regular checkups with Dr. Sigman, they can potentially last for a lifetime.

Don’t let a missing or failing tooth affect your life any longer! Contact Performance Dental Center to learn more about how dental implants can restore your tooth and your confidence.
