Teeth Whitening

Are you feeling like your smile could use an upgrade? Is it perhaps not as beautiful or bright as it once was?

As we age, even the most beautiful smiles can lose their luster. Our teeth naturally become discolored over time, and sometimes the food we eat and beverages we drink accelerate this process.

The good news is that whitening your teeth can give your smile a much needed boost. You might be surprised at what a huge impact whiter teeth can make on your smile, and some patients feel that it takes years off of their appearance. It’s quick, easy, and cost effective, and Dr. Sigman offers two convenient options that can brighten your teeth by up to 6 to 10 shades.

In-Office Whitening

Our in-office whitening treatment is ideal for those who need immediate results. During a short appointment at our office, we’ll apply a high strength whitening gel to your teeth with a silicone whitening tray designed to protect your gums and soft tissues from excess whitening gel.

We’ll use a special LED light designed to activate the gel and accelerate the whitening process. The results are phenomenal, and the entire procedure can be completed in less than an hour, making it convenient for our patients’ busy schedules.

Take-Home Whitening

We also offer take-home whitening trays that give you the freedom to whiten your teeth based on your own schedule and update whenever you like. Using impressions we take of your teeth, we’ll create custom trays that are designed to fit snugly and protect your teeth from excess whitening gel.

We’ll show you how to properly use your trays, and provide instructions to help you achieve your desired results. Our patients love the freedom that take-home trays offer them, allowing them to whiten their teeth before their next big vacation or event.

Professional Whitening vs. Over-the-Counter

It may seem easier and cheaper to purchase your whitening system at the local drug store; however, professional whitening offers several benefits that over-the-counter products simply can't match, such as:

  • A custom fit – While over-the-counter systems are one size fits all, we’ll create trays designed to fit your teeth. Ill-fitting whitening trays may lead to injury or sensitivity from excess whitening gel.
  • Higher strength whitening gel – Dr. Sigman has access to stronger whitening gel than you can purchase at the store. This means less time spent whitening to achieve your desired results.
  • Protection against sensitivity – It’s a good idea to whiten your teeth under the supervision of your dentist in case you should encounter any problems with sensitivity.
